Terry Johnson's bitingly funny comedy has it all. Richard and Eleanor's marriage is not going well; they're in therapy attempting to rekindle their sex life.
Richard has been busy chairing the 'Dead Funny Society' which honours dead comedians. Their slightly camp friend Brian is the society founder and lives next door with his mother. Their friends Nick and Lisa, also members, have a new baby to contend with though Nick thinks he may not be the father.
Then Benny Hill, the hero of the Dead Funny Society, dies and the plans to celebrate his life with a tribute party bring all kinds of skeletons, real and meyaphorical, clattering in and out of the cupboards.
